a remarkable artist family emerged early in the twentieth century when artist Joseph Lambert Cain and artist Matene Rachoetes Cain married and devoted their lives to making art.  their son Michael Peter Cain became an artist and married artist Charlotte Modliszewski Cain, continuing the tradition. all members of the family were more interested in creating than marketing, so their extraordinary work is still largely unknown.

Cain drawings, paintings, sculptures and multimedia works are now available for exhibition and sale through the Cain Art Foundation.  the Foundation is in the process of consolidating Cain family art in a single location which may ultimately include exhibition spaces. the Foundation will develop a comprehensive online archive of images of the Cain family’s work, serve to verify the authenticity of works that emerge from private and public collections over the course of time and take other actions that introduce the Cain’s work to the world.
